HOW MUCH CAN YOU BORROW?

How much can you borrow?
An Agreement In Principle (AIP) is a great way to find out how much you can borrow. It should take less than 15 minutes to fill in the form, we will then use our expert knowledge to research the lender who matches your requirements, and obtain an AIP.

What you'll need:

• Income - This will need to match the amounts shown on your proof of income documents e.g. payslips. (see  'Documents & Information' for more info)

• Outgoings - An accurate reflection of your financial commitments.

• Addresses - For the last three years.

• About 15 minutes - It shouldn't take much longer than that.

What you'll get:

• We'll let you know the maximum amount you can borrow over your maximum term, based on when you plan to retire (subject to full underwriting by the lender).

• After you receive your AIP and are ready to apply for your full mortgage offer, we will meet you to discuss your needs further and provide you with a personalised recommendation.

AIP request

Lenders use a detailed breakdown of your income - we recommend sending us your last 3 payslips or 3 years self-employed income (see our self-employed page) so that we can be as accurate as possible.

All current and future credit commitments must be included as they will show up on the lenders credit check and could impact the result (don't inculde bills like mobile phone etc). For credit cards that are repaid in full, please use the latest statement balance.

If you plan to repay any credit before the mortgage starts, please tell us in the notes section
